1. Information We Collect

Authentication providers:

Note: SMPLTSK does not offer email/password registration. You must use Google or Apple to create an account.

• Photos you upload to create tasks
• Visual markers (red for incomplete, green for complete) placed on photos
• Task descriptions and annotations

1.3 Task and Communication Data

• Task batches you create
• In-app messages and comments between users
• Folder organization (Sent, Received, Mine, Drafts)
• Task completion status and history

1.4 Contact Information

• Contacts you explicitly import from your device's contact list
• We only access contacts you choose to import, not your entire contact list

1.5 Device and Usage Information

• Device type, operating system, and version
• App version and settings
• Usage patterns and feature interactions
• Crash reports and error logs
• Performance metrics

2. Service Tiers and Data Collection

2.1 Free Version

Free users can create and send 1 image with up to 6 tasks. We collect:

• Basic account information
• Photos and task data (limited to 1 image, 6 tasks)
• Usage metrics for the free tier

2.2 Premium Subscription ($60/year or $150 lifetime)

Subscribers get unlimited tasks and images. We collect:

• All free tier data
• Subscription status and payment history (processed by App Store/Play Store/Stripe)
• Extended usage analytics for unlimited features

3. How We Use Firebase

Server Location: Your data is stored on Firebase servers located in Sydney, Australia.

4. SMPLTSK-Specific Features

4.1 Photo-Based Task Management

• You upload photos which are stored in Firebase Cloud Storage (Sydney)
• Visual markers (red for undone, green for done) are stored with each task
• Task batches can contain multiple images

4.2 Folder Organization

Your tasks are automatically organized into folders:

• Sent: Tasks you've sent to others
• Received: Tasks others have sent to you
• Mine: Personal tasks for yourself
• Drafts: Unsent/incomplete task batches

We store folder metadata to maintain this organization.

4.3 Contact System

• You can import contacts from your device's native contact list
• Imported contacts are stored in our system to enable task sharing
• We only access contact names and identifiers you explicitly import

4.4 In-App Messaging

• Comments and messages between task senders and recipients are stored in Firebase
• Messages are linked to specific tasks and retained as long as the task exists

4.5 Task Limitations

• Once a task is sent, the photo, markers, and descriptions cannot be edited
• Only completion status (red/green) can be changed
• This ensures task integrity and clear accountability

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the SMPLTSK service
• Enable task creation, sharing, and management
• Process and sync your data across devices
• Send push notifications about tasks (with your permission)
• Improve app performance and user experience
• Identify and fix bugs and crashes
• Analyze usage patterns to enhance features
• Provide customer support
• Communicate important updates about the service

6. Information Sharing

6.1 With Other Users

When you send tasks to other users:

• Recipients see your name, the photo, markers, and task descriptions
• Recipients can view in-app messages you send
• Task completion status is visible to both sender and recipient

6.2 With Service Providers

We share data with trusted service providers who help us operate SMPLTSK:

• Google Firebase - Hosting, storage, and app infrastructure
• Apple App Store / Google Play Store - Subscription management
• Stripe - Payment processing (web subscriptions)

6.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose information if required by law or to:

• Comply with legal obligations
• Protect our rights and property
• Prevent fraud or abuse
• Protect user safety

6.4 We Do Not

• Sell your personal information to third parties
• Display advertisements
• Share your data for marketing purposes

7. Data Security

• Secure Firebase authentication and storage

However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security but continuously work to protect your data.

8. Data Retention

8.1 Active Accounts

• We retain your data as long as your account is active
• Data includes all tasks, photos, messages, and account information

8.2 After Subscription Cancellation

• You maintain full access to all your data
• No features are removed
• Data remains until you choose to delete it

8.3 Account Deletion

• When you delete your account, we begin deletion process immediately
• Active data deleted within 30 days
• Backup systems cleared within 90 days

8.4 Shared Tasks

• If you delete your account, tasks you shared with others remain accessible to recipients
• Your name may still appear as the task creator
• Delete shared tasks before account deletion if you want them removed

9. Your Rights and Choices

9.1 Access and Correction

• View and edit your profile information in the app
• Review your tasks and data at any time

• Delete your account through app settings

9.4 Push Notifications

• Manage notification preferences in your device settings
• Or within the SMPLTSK app settings

• You control which contacts you import
• Delete imported contacts anytime in app settings

10. Children's Privacy

SMPLTSK is not intended for users under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If we discover we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.

11. International Data Transfers

Your data is stored on Firebase servers in Sydney, Australia. If you access SMPLTSK from outside Australia, your information may be transferred to and processed in Australia. By using SMPLTSK, you consent to this transfer and processing.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date
• For significant changes, we'll notify you via email or in-app notification
• Continued use of SMPLTSK after changes constitutes acceptance
